Reginald and Gertrude

'Tis been too long since I last spoketh to my loyal minions. And there is much to say. Shall we begin with the strange snippets? I think we shall.

"I think my hair likes it when I shower it." Yes, my hair, too, has feelings and likes and dislikes. Doesn't yours?

"It is intuitive once I explain it." I don't know if she knows what intuitive means...It happens to be the situation was Faeven teaching us an entire subject the night before the final, and it had been a very long week, and no one was really interested in studying any longer, but we'd only just started that day, so we had no excuse, and it wasn't very pleasant, to say the least.

Also from Faeven: "It looks like they gained an elephant in water weight." I don't remember the context, but then again, I don't think I want to.

Then there was my undad, who in response to a very unfortunate and weird picture of me, piped up, "Can you see the neutrons in my nose?" No, I couldn't see the neutrons. I wonder if there are neutrons in noses? Hey, alliteration. I'm super cool that way.

Anywho, Faeven and I created the ugliest family in existence this week, proudly bearing the names Reginald and Gertrude.

So, let's rewind to last week: First of all, Shabbos two weeks ago at my cousins in the city of Sons of Beraq, along with Malta and Tzvi. I spoke many muches of Hebrew, and we even met Tovi's parents and siblings, and it was all lovely.

We had such a grand time. I think Tzvi really enjoyed himself.

And then, I got some very nice marriage advice from my cousins. Mind you, this was at 1 am, and they were speaking in Hebrew. But I actually understood quite a bit of what they were saying. "DO NOT GET MARRIED!!!" is kind of clear, even in the wee hours of the morn and in a different language.

Just kidding. They gave me some great advice.

This week was just the worstest. We had a final on Thursday, then Friday, then Tuesday. And it was not so many funs. But it's so many overs now, and I'm so happies about that. And I still have three packs of chocolate twizzlers left. I think I'm getting better about portion control. Let's not talk about the fact that I had 10 to begin with...a week ago...yeah, let's not talk about that.

Moving right along, this Shabbos was so nice. I was at the Steinsies for my last single Shabbos in Israel. It was so much fun, a little emotional, and just relaxing and entertaining as always.

As I walked in the door Friday afternoon, my unparents made a bridge and started singing wedding songs, and it was super cute.

We had some deep conservations, some light ones, some in-between, and a whole lot of fun. I freaked Mr. Stein out by wearing a tichel, even though he says he wasn't freaked out. And I made a huge mistake by telling them about my kallah-brain moments, because then I did not hear the end of it, even though I don't have kallah brain. Just EOOPS. Which is kind of the same thing, now that I think about it.

Anywho, today I packed up my stuff and moved into my apartment. My cousins, blessed be their souls, came in from the aforementioned Sons of Beraq, and helped me shop (well, they shopped and I just piped up with unhelpful comments like, "What do you use salt for? Wait, what's that weird looking thing? Oh, a pineapple. Cool.").

So, now I'm about to leave for the airport. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. Wish me luck.

Toodles from Hoodles!
