It's Shloims' fault that I'm writing this now and not paying attention in my faskinating class. I come into class this morning, all innocent-like, and she says, "Um, you didn't write your blog post this week." And I'm like, "It's only Monday, dude. The week started yesterday." And she responds, "It's been eight days since you've last written. And you missed last week." And I'm all offended and wounded to the depths of my soul, and she's laughing like she hasn't just ruined my life, and I sit down on my chair and cry hysterically, and the whole class turns to stare at me, and it was all very uncomfortable and awkward for everyone involved.
So, I might have slightly exaggerated the above story, but Shloims did tell me that I didn't write a blog post this week, and since I'm a good little girl, I listen to my friends. And I don't listen to my classes. So, here I am.
Get ready for this one. First, we have a new segment called Recipes from Shana Aleph. Shana Aleph is an actual, real-life cook. So, here we go with her famous Sugar Crystal recipe:

If you end up trying this delicious recipe, let me know how it goes.
Wednesday night, my absolutely amazing friends made me a super cute Kallah party. It was not stam. Mikvah-Jumper Avigayil wrote a masterpiece to the tune of Dip the Apple in the Honey and it was the bestest thing to happen since sliced bread. Shana Aleph read some questions that I had to answer about my chosson, and I didn't fail, surprisingly. Tziv-eye-uh made some hilarious games, one of which was a "would she rather" game, asking questions like "would she rather wake up late or get up early?" That one caused quite some controversy, and I think I got it wrong, which is crazy, 'cause I was expecting to get an 100% on that game, seeing as I am the "she" in "would she rather." Oh, well. My friends told me that I'm wrong, so I guess I was wrong.
The food was delicious and nutritious, and my famous friend Tzip brought over popcorn and wafers and Rut brought the drinks. Faeven got the nicest dishes, with purple flowers, even.
And then they presented me with the most beautiful challah board ever, and I didn't know how to contain myself.
So, it was so fun and nice, and I almost cried like twenty times, and I laughed way more than twenty times, and it was awesomeness all around.
So that was the highlight of my week, for sure. For Shabbos, I went to Beney Beraq to my cousins. I went with Dilman Dude this time, and it was such a nice Shabbos. I spent much of the time hanging out with the kiddos, reading them all their English books. They actually know who I am at this point, and they kind of like me.
I learned so many muches of Hebrew, none of which I remember. It's so unhelpful to have EOOPS (Early Onset OPS).
Here are the Strange Snippets of the week:
Shana Aleph told me last night that I have something called "uni-cocoa-phobia." It's the phobia of eating chocolate alone. She may be right in that aspect.
Another line from Shana Aleph: "I never buy junk food. I just eat yours." Which is hilarious and very true.
And another line: "Being emotional is such a good way to serve Hashem. Highly recommended."
Thank you all for reading. Hope you didn't lose too many brain cells this time.
Toodles from Hoodles!
