3 am

000, 001, 010, 011, 100, 101, 110, 111. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.

Yes, this is what I think about most days, and most nights. I have a midterm for digital systems on Friday, so that's why the above numbers are floating around in my brain like pesky flies around the garbage that I haven't taken out for four days, even though it's technically my chore. Oh, well.

'Twas two nights ago when I was young and stupid. I stayed up until 3 am. Doing what, you may ask. Programming the Iron Dome? Creating a code to cure cancer? Figuring out how to fix the problem of global warming?

Nope. I was playing cards. I stayed up until 3 am playing cards. Don't judge me. I know you've done it, too.

This past Shabbos, Avigayil and I went to Ramot to my cousins. It was a wonderful Shabbos. Played with some very cute little children, spoke some very not-cute Hebrew, saw a baby mouse sort-of-creature, sang Kabbalas Shabbos, and ate some delicious foody-food.

Chanukah is coming up. I bought a menorah, some oil and wicks, and ate my very first gelt of the year. Can't wait for the holiday and the vacation from school that it brings. But, until that glorious vacation, I will continue studiously studying my studies.

I just got back from a wedding. It was a really beautiful simcha. The place where the chuppah was held overlooked the old city. As they sang Im Eshkachech, we were looking at the old city. It was such an experience.

I saw many Richmond peeps there. I danced awkwardly, hocked it up with the random person from Providence, Rhode Island, and hugged some people who didn't want to be hugged. All in a day's work. I also got three bags of chocolate twizzlers! Thank the good Lord above.

So, the wedding was nice. School is not. But we got donuts today, and I think we're having a chanukah party on Thursday. I'm just going to go for the food. They said there will be pizza (I think I'm allowed to write that word, just not say it. I hope that's okay, Adina).

I almost fell asleep in all three classes today. And I went shopping. I also wear my hobo jacket all day, every day. Sorry, Ema. Everyone else thinks it's really cute.

Why do my sentences make no sense? And have nothing to do with each other? I want to blame it on my tiredness, but I don't think I ever make sense. I guess I'm just always tired. Blame it on my mono.

I'm literally gonna be 80 with 700 grandchildren and I'll be sitting and knitting and playing bridge at 6:00 pm, and then I'll yawn big enough to fit a cat in my mouth and say, "I have to go to bed now. It's my mono."

I really want to eat cereal and milk right now, but unfortunately I'm fleishtings! Ugh. This is why I need to marry Dutch.

Anywho, I think that it's time for me to retire to the bedchambers. Except I think that my bed is full of clothing and books and papers and coins and bags. I've always wanted to sleep on the kitchen table. Or the bathtub. I guess I'll get my chance tonight.

Hope you all have a great week. Pray for me.

Toodles from Hoodles!

And as she drifts off to sleep, you can hear her faint whispers: 000, 001, 010...
