Cake and Alcohol

Alrighty, everyone. It has happened. I have finally turned the CH into a true HudiintheHolyLand fan. This is how it went: I said, "I think we should go write my blog together right now," and you should have seen how he jumped up and ran to get my computer. He was so excited. It was maybe the single most exciting moment in my life. It's official. The CH loves my blog.

Besides for that very exhilarating change, much else has happened this week. I mean, I'm sure many things have happened. I just can't remember most of them. EOOPS, you see. I do remember a very fun event that happened last week: My undad had his 26th birthday!! So I dragged the CH to Beit Shemesh for a surprise part organized by my unmom. It was so many muches of fun.

There was cake and some alcohol. Oh, everyone was so mean to me. They told me that this type of alcohol was honey and it was sweet and they promised me I would like it. Guess what? I don't think my throat will ever be the same. Alcohol burns! Why does anyone actually enjoy it? So now I know who not to trust again.

Besides for the cake and the meanie alcohol, there was also great company. I met some of my unparents' neighbors, two of whom know my grandparents from way back when. And She-She and her chosson came as well, and then we found out that the CH and She-She's chosson were roomies in the Mir!! If you know She-She and me at all, you'll think that's the funniest thing to ever happen in the entire world. We couldn't get over it.

So, the party was so much fun and it was so nice to see my unparents again, and the CH finally got to really meet them.

And then the rest of the week happened. I'm serious, I don't remember anything except ignoring all my schoolwork and not listening in any of my classes. Do I remember what I did instead of productive stuff? Not at all. Probably wordle and other such important things.

And then Mikvah-Jumper-Avigayil graced my home with her presence on Thursday. We had such a party, doing laundry and hanging out, talking for over an hour. The CH was very confused by what we were doing for so long. Just talking? Girls are weird.

And then Shabbos was absolutely beautiful. We spent it at home, and we just enjoyed the peace and quiet and slightly edible food. Except for the chushoova choolent, because that was made by not me. So it was delicious.

On Shabbos day, we went on a walk, and it was all so many lovelies.

And just recently, the CH and I had a shaila. Does crunching a bag of potato chips so that it makes the most incredibly annoying sound in the entire world count as making music during sefira? Such holy questions we have here.

And oh dear, I got the most terrifying email in my entire life the other day. It was from my sister-in-law, the Mother Wohlgelernter. And I know I spelled it right this time, because she made up a song to the tune of ABC that taught me how to spell it. And you know why she made up that song and sent it to me? Because she read last week's blog. And that is very scary.

So, now I have to go hide before anyone comes to my door and tries to encourage me to go to a psychologist or a psych ward. So, I'm gonna go hide...under my blanket...hugging my pet shark Coco...closing my eyes and starting to dream...yes, I know that's called going to sleep.

Toodles from Hoodles!
