Splinter
I sat in a fridge yesterday, like actually sat in the fridge. Being short is good for some things, I guess, like cleaning out a fridge for Pesach. No, it was not my fridge, because even I, the shortiest of the shorts (that sounds off), could not sit in my fridge. And that's because it is small. Wow, that was highly intelligence.
Anywho, moving on from me having a chill (ha, pun intended) in the fridge, last week was Rosh Chodesh. So, the CH (that's Chushoova Hoosband for all you peeps who have OPS--that's Old People Syndrome for all of you who have YAS--that's Young and Stupid for all of you have EOOPS--remember, the 'e' is silent) made shnitzel in honor of the new month. And it came out so good. You know what that means? I ain't making shnitzel ever again. He he.
Shabbos was spent in the Old City with my sister and brother-in-law. We had such a grand time, missing the last train and walking all the way to the Old City. It's such a great walk, though.
Shabbos was a shtickle rainy, but the rain cleared up enough for me to go to the kois for Shacharis. How kind of it.
So, Shabbos was beautiful, with many divrei Toirah, only some of which I understood. It's kind of intimidating when every single person at the table low-key knows Tanach by heart, and you're like, "Um...what's Shabbos again??"
I played Settlers with my sister-in-law and niece and nephew and lost, obviously. But we had a great time, so it was all worth the shame. Oh, the shame!!
The singing was gorgeous, both on Shabbos and afterwards. Oh, wow, the singing on Motzei Shabbos was stuh-ning. Two words: stuh-ning. My sister-in-law played the piano, my niece played the violin, my nephew played the drums, and my brother-in-law sang. It's so funny that me of all people, with my absolutely fantastic voice, married into a musical family.
The CH, as all the singing was going on, was taking out a splinter with nail clippers. Like, who does that? But it worked, so kudos to him.
So, then the week began. There were the crazy hafganot going on in Yerushalayim, so naturally I dragged the CH to Gan Sacher to see them in action. It was such a party. He translated what everyone was saying, and I just enjoyed the huge commotion. I'm such a sucker for drama.
And then there was the most hilarious situation, where I called a random guy with a shidduch suggestion, and then he suggested his brother for the girl I was calling about, and then I called his mother to set them up, not even knowing the first thing about these people. It was so funny. I'm such a dorkus.
So, that's my week so far. It's been great. Gotta bow out now and be responsible and do work. Ewey.
Toodles from Hoodles!
