Gross Healthy Things

Wow, the week does fly by. Last week, I was sitting pretty and enjoying break from the dreaded school, eating some pretzel-sfinge and donuts and lighting candles, listening to the 20 different tunes for the same few words of Al Hanisim.

And this week, I'm sitting ugly and hating the lack of break from the dreaded school, eating vegetables and fruits and gross healthy things, listening to recordings of all the classes I missed and skipped.

The rest of Chanukah was lovely, bH. For Shabbos, I went to Benay Beraq to my wonderful cousins, and it was so nice. The kids liked me for once, and we read all of their English books multiple times, and I held the little baby for many hours.

The food was delicious, my Hebrew was less than perfect, and I learned many new words. Do I remember any of them? Not a single one. One day, I'll know Hebrew. One day...

In other news, my friend NS got engaged! It's the bestest news ever. We're all very excited (pronounced exited, obviously) for her and her chosson. That's right: she has a chosson! AHHHHHHHHH!

Monday night, I went to Rabbi Kelemen's shiur. Remember that shiur I went to last year that helped me have good relationships? Well, Rabbi Kelemen continues it in Har Nof this year, and all my friends and I go to it so that we can be good people and have good relationships. This past shiur was amazing. He was talking about having conservations with people without any distractions: "If you can't turn your phone off, you're not allowed to turn it on." Woah. Such crazy stuff.

This week, it's also rained quite a bit, which is good because we need rain. It's also a good excuse for me not to shower, because I've already gotten wet. And getting clean consists of just getting wet, clearly.

And now for a Strange Snippet:

I asked my friend if she were tired, and she very intelligently replied, "A little a lot bit." Yes, I think she was tired.

I believe it is time for some "Nerdy News" now:

Reporter: "Hudi, what did you do this week that is Nerdy Newsworthy?"

Hoodie: "Um, well there was that time that I walked outside, forgetting I was wearing my Green Bay Packers t-shirt."

Reporter: "Really???"

Hoodie: "No. Sowwy. That would have been very bad."

Reporter: "Come on, tell us something really nerdy."

Hoodie: "Well, there was that time late last night, where I was sitting down on the floor in my friend's room. My friend was lying on her bed, playing monopoly with  a random 7-year-old girl, apparently. And I had to stand up to go be productive. So I asked my friend to help me stand up, even though she was also lying down. So, pretty much, I was asking her to stand up so that she could help me stand up."

Reporter: "And did your friend stand up?"

Hoodie: "Nope. I ended up standing up all on my own."

Reporter: "Oh, Huddles, you are a lazy nerd of epic proportion. Thank you for sharing your nerdy news with us."

That was a fun time. And now I should go listen in class. Just kidding.

Toodles from Hoodles!
