000, 001, 010, 011, 100, 101, 110, 111. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.  Yes, this is what I think about most days, and most nights. I have a midterm for digital systems on Friday, so that's why the above numbers are floating around in my brain like pesky flies around the garbage that I haven't taken out for four days, even though it's technically my chore. Oh, well.  'Twas two nights ago when I was young and stupid. I stayed up until 3 am. Doing what, you may ask. Programming the Iron Dome? Creating a code to cure cancer? Figuring out how to fix the problem of global warming?  Nope. I was playing cards. I stayed up until 3 am playing cards. Don't judge me. I know you've done it, too.  This past Shabbos, Avigayil and I went to Ramot to my cousins. It was a wonderful Shabbos. Played with some very cute little children, spoke some very not-cute Hebrew, saw a baby mouse sort-of-creature, sang Kabbalas Shabbos, and ate some delicious foody-food. Chanukah is coming up. I bou...

One hundred bottles of beer on the wall, one hundred bottles of beer. Take one down, pass it around, 99 bottles of beer on the wall.  So, I sat down to write some coherent, intelligent words, and that's what came out of my sleep-addled brain. We don't question. We just accept.  I'll begin with a story: Once upon a time, there was a shark. Her name was Charlotte Hobbes. She decided to start going to school (in the ocean, there are many schools of fish). It was called "The Most Difficult School in Existence." Now, Charlotte was naive — in nicer words, she was downright stupid — and so she thought that this school would be easy and fun. But she was wrong.  The end.  What a beautiful story. I think I should send it to a publisher. Would probably make millions, and then I could quit school! Ah, what a life.  What's new? "Well, this suit was until I walked in." That was a quote from something unholy.  המבין יבין.  In all seriousness, I'm doing fabulous...

Food Poisoning

Hullo, all. Right now, I shouldn't be writing this. I should be doing my digital system homework. No, wait. My intro to computer homework. I'm sorry. I think I meant my precalculus videos. Oh, dear. I messed up. I actually meant my presentation.  If you couldn't tell, I have many muches of homework to do. And yet, I'm deciding that for my mental and emotional sanity (not like I have much of that) I need to write this masterpiece of literature called my blog post. So, enjoy.  First things first, this past Shabbos, I went to Neve Yaakov to my family friends, the Seiberts. I had a great time. I read some Hebrew books to the little red-headed 3-year-old. And I understood what I was reading! Kudos to me. I can understand kids' books in Hebrew.  While I was there, I started (and finished) reading And Rachel was His Wife. For those who haven't heard about it or read it, it's about Rabbi Akiva and his wife, Rachel. It was so incredible. It's full of Midrashim ...

Hola

Shalom, y'all.  I just wanted to share with you the real reason why I'm writing this post right now. And it's not because I want to share with all of you what's going on in my fascinating life. I have much more altruistic reasons. Pretty much, I have been doing computer science homework for a good six hours today, and so my brain is fried. This is my break. Thank you for allowing my brain to get some rest.  Speaking of rest, I desperately need sleep. Maybe it's my mono. Or maybe human beings actually need more than four hours a sleep a night. What a concept.  This is the first week I'm late with my blog post, but it most probably won't be the last. School is just getting tougher, and I'm just getting stupider. Oh well. That's how life goes.  Many things have happened since last week. I got a new phone. I got a new roommate. I got a new husband. I did laundry. I got paid for my job. I bought the most delicious dates. It has been quite eventful; I'...
